The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fixed March 28 and 29, 2026 , for its National Convention, to be held in Abuja, where new members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and other statutory organs of the party will be elected. The decision was taken on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the 105th meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party held in Abuja. In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, NEC said it unanimously reconfirmed and ratified all resolutions reached at the party’s Emergency 104th NEC meeting held on December 7, 2025, stressing that all actions taken pursuant to those resolutions remain lawful, binding, and valid. The Committee reiterated its commitment to the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary, describing them as the foundation of constitutional democracy in Nigeria.
