With over 60 duplexes affected, the demolition has rendered hundreds of residents homeless since it began in October, despite the people possessing legitimate ownership ownership documents.  Wike has been accused by the affected residents of reallocating lands to allies, disregarding their rights as legitimate owners.  They said no prior notice was given before the demolitions started.
