"I thought I was having s€x with my wife"- 39-year-old arrested fir impregnating his 13-year-old daughter says A 39 years old man Mfon Jeremiah a resident of FIRRO Estate off Adesan ,Mowe has been arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for impregnating his 13 years old biological daughter(name withheld). The suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Mowe divisional headquarters by the mother of the victim who reported that, she discovered that her daughter was pregnant, and when she inquired from the daughter, she was informed that it was her father who slept with her.  The victim was taken to the hospital where  it was confirmed that, she is four months pregnant.  Upon the report, the DPO Mowe division, SP Folake Afeniforo, quickly detailed detectives to the suspect's house where he was promptly arrested.  On interrogation, the suspect confessed been responsible for his daughter's pregnancy, but claimed to be under spell when he did it. Former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari and Chieftain of the New Nigerian People's Party, Buba Galadima has alleged that some of those who received national honors from the Nigerian leader have questionable characters.  Appearing on Arise TV on Friday October 14, Galadinma said 440 out of the 447 people awarded national honors should be in prison.  He said;  “When you say Buba Galadinma, did you use engineer, Alhaji or whatsoever? I have never taken a chieftaincy title and even the Galadima, if I have my way and if not that it is on my school certificates from primary to university level, I could have dropped the word (Galadima) because that is a traditional title and I don’t need it. “Let me tell you, of the 447 people that were given these national awards, I think 440 of them need to be in prisons rather than parading themselves as people who deserved an honour.  A 30-second video clip showing the final moments of a reality TV star, Patrick Fakoya,  aka Rico Swavey, at a hospital in Lagos State, yesterday went viral and has attracted condemnation from members of the public. In the clip recorded by one of the nurses attending to Rico Swavey, the deceased was placed on oxygen as he was unconscious on a chair.  The nurses were attempting to carry him on a bed when one of them brought out a phone and started recording him. Another nurse was heard cautioning them in hausa and appealing to her colleagues to stop recording and laughing at their patient. “You people should stop making the video; somebody is dying, you people are making video,” the nurse said. The Academic Staff Union of Universities has suspended its eight month old strike. Though the union is yet to make an official pronouncement, our correspondent gathered that the decision was taken at the end of the National Executive Council meeting which was held at the ASUU secretariat in Abuja. Speaking with our correspondent, a highly informed source within the NEC said, “Yes, it has been called off”.
