In my office, I receive more than 1,000 letters and mails every month. All these letters and mails pass through my hands. I stay awake almost all nights reading and responding. After my promotion, I had to move into a new office and take over some special duties in addition to my schedule of duties. In the new office, I saw letters that were dumped somewhere. No one has touched or open the letters nor read the letters I wondered how the letters got there. The envelopes used for the letters were very dusty. About nineteen letters from the same person. BREAKING: Around 60 members of the Federal House of Representatives are presently endeavoring to propose adjustments to the 1999 Constitution in order to facilitate a transition from the existing presidential system to the parliamentary system of government. Under the leadership of Wale Raji, a legislator representing Lagos State in the All Progressives Congress, the lawmakers recognized the importance of reducing government expenses and engaging in meaningful policy discussions, among other factors. As a result, they called for a reinstatement of the parliamentary system.

President Bola Tinubu has made a request to the Senate to approve Yemi Cardoso as the chairman of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria. The upcoming MPC, led by Cardoso, is scheduled to convene its initial policy meeting on February 26 and 27.  This development was announced through a letter written by Tinubu to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, which was read during the plenary session on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He said, “My attention was drawn to the news-making round on a number of media platforms on the alleged signing of the Enhanced Trade Investment Partnership Agreement, between the governments of Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
