Court Sends 22 Internet Fraudsters to Jail

The Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on November 2, 2023, secured the conviction and sentencing of 22 (twenty-two) internet fraudsters before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State. They were convicted on separate count charges bordering on impersonation and obtaining by false pretences. The convicts are:  Ayodeji Jerome Olumeko, Chima Blessing Afam, Obalim Johndson, Michael Echezona Anyikaeme, Alior Chidera Emmanuel, Chidiebube Ukaigwe Emmanuel, Dim Samuel, Amobi Stanley Ajala, Irobi Kingsley Chiedozie, Oranusi Sylvester Chigozie, Agbo Michael, Chibuisi Okpara. Others are Casmir Ibebuogu, Nweze Chinamkpa, Precious Oluebube Chukwuka, Nzube Michael, Chisom Kingsley Mba, Chidera Hedrack Peter, Chukwuka Emmanuel, Chinedu James Nworji, Chukwunansa Igweonu and Akpata Sunday Onose. Senate seeks ceasefire in Israel-Hamas war

The Senate on Tuesday urged the Federal Government to work with the United Nations and other countries of the world to ensure an immediate ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. It also urged the Federal Government to press for a two-state solution to end the conflict, in which thousands, including women, children and aid workers had been killed. The resolutions followed a motion sponsored by Senator Adamu Aliero of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kebbi State and co-sponsored by 43 others at the plenary on Tuesday. Aliero said the casualty figures in the war were horrifying and that if not ended immediately, it may lead to World War III. Senators who contributed to the debate, including Barau Jibrin (Kano), Enyinaya Abaribe (Abia) and Sani Musa (Niger), all condemned thekillings on both sides and called for an immediate end to the killings and save lives and property. My husband started complaining of discomfort after the nurse administered the injection — Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi

Wife of late singer Mohbad, Wunmi Aloba gave her testimony of the events before the singer’s d£ath at the coroner’s inquest on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Wunmi stated in her testimony that her husband complained that he felt discomfort after the auxiliary nurse gave him an injection and began to vomit. This happened on Tuesday around 1 PM Wunmi told the court that Mohbad had sustained a minor inj¥ry from a f!ght he had with his friend Prime Boy at Okorodu on Sunday, September 10, 2023 She said there were a lot of fans on their way out of the Ikorodu which made it impossible for them to leave. He then told Prime Boy to tell his younger brother, Adura Aloba, to inform the bouncer that he wanted to leave. However, he was asked to wait till other artists had performed.  Mohbad became angry because he had been delayed for two hours.
