Talented but Blind Tamil Man Who Fixes Home Appliances.

  Meet Suresh Kumar, a 32 year old man in Kavundampalayam region in the city who can fix problematic mixies in minutes and easily solve issues of fridges, grinder, washing machine, gas stove, ceiling fan, etc. quickly.  You may ask "what is extraordinary in this?". There is one element that makes Suresh Kumar distinct; he is totally blind. Suresh lost his eyesight when he was affected with brain fever at the age of 6. He studied up to 5th std. in government-run school for the blind but discontinued his studies after that. By the efforts of his sister Revathi, Suresh received skill-training to fix electric products from a local repair shop. Suresh credits electrician Krishnamoorthy for training him. Initially people had hesitated to seek Suresh's services but upon seeing his talent, they have continued preferring his service center. Mental health awareness.

  Mental illness is on the rise and it's not hard to see why. And unfortunately, a lot of people won't know where to turn for help. A mentally ill person doesn't deserve to hear these words when they are struggling: • "Everyone struggles"  • "You're not the only one" • "It's just a phase" • "Get over yourself" • "It's all in your head"  They deserve to hear words like: • "Are you ok?" • "Can I help you in anyway?" • "Would you like to talk about it?" • "I am here for you"  Too ma ny people follow the trend of 'copy and paste' when it comes to mental health posts. It goes beyond, "speak up if you are tired; talk to someone".  When people really start to struggle and go through a dark time, no one wants to be there for them.
