APC Crisis Deepens As NWC Members Move Against National Chairman.

T he members National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have moved to curb the excesses of domineering National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu. This is a fresh twist in the crisis rocking national organ of the party. Recall that members of the committee had bemoned the  d ictatorial disposition of Adamu  and how he runs the NWC as a one-man show while sidelining them when taking important decisions. They equally condemned invocation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s name to blackmail NWC members into accepting his decisions. Incumbent Lagos lawmaker Mojisola Alli-Macaulay lost her bid to return to Amuwo Odofin Constituency I at the Lagos State House West of Assembly.

  I ncumbent Lagos lawmaker Mojisola Alli-Macaulay lost her bid to return to Amuwo Odofin Constituency I at the Lagos State House West of Assembly. She lost the ticket of the All Progressives Congress to Olaitan Folorunso at the primaries on Friday. Three aspirants were voted by 20 delegates representing three wards from the constituency. Mr Olaitan won the party ticket with 12 votes. Ms Alli-Macaulay got four votes. Another aspirant Adesina Ado got four votes. The returning officer, Akintola Falade, announced Mr Olaitan as the Amuwo Odofin Constituency I winner. “When we summed up the number of the figures, while Mojisola Alli-Macaulay scored four, Ado Adesina scored four, Folorunso Olaitan scored 12,” he said. “By virtue of that, we have Hon. O nline scamming: Three Nigerians Arrested in INTERPOL Operation Killer Bee An INTERPOL-led operation targeting malware cyber fraud across Southeast Asia leads to the Nigeria arrest of three suspected global scammers. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested the suspects in a sting operation conducted simultaneously in a Lagos suburb called Ajegunle and in Benin City, 300 km to the East of the commercial capital. The Nigerian sting operation comes as part of a global operation codenamed “Killer Bee” involving INTERPOL National Central Bureaus (NCBs) and law enforcement in 11 countries across Southeast Asia. The arrests follows the publication of an INTERPOL Cyber Report linking a suspected syndicate of Nigerian fraudsters operating from the West Coast of Africa to the use of a malicious Remote Access Trojan (RAT) known as Agent Tesla.
