A Federal High Court in Abuja has restrained the Federal Capital Territory Development Authority (FCDA) from demolishing Trademore Estate sited in the Lugbe area of Abuja.  In an interim injunction, Justice Mohammed Zubairu ordered that the first to fourth defendants/respondents to maintain status quo and stop plans to demolish the estate. In the Motion No: M/11692/2023 dated July 12, 2023, the first to fourth defendants/respondents are the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, the FCDA, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), and the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). Committee Storms former governor Ortem workshop  The asset recovery committee set up by Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, on Tuesday, stormed the automobile workshop owned by former governor Samuel Ortom with towing vehicles and removed some vehicles. Alia, through his Chief Press Secretary, Kula Tersoo, recently disclosed that government vehicles, numbering 29, were allegedly looted by the past governor. Nigerian pilgrim, Hajiya Aishatu, returns lost $80,000 to owner in Saudi Arabia Aishatu y’an Guru Nahuce, a Nigerian pilgrim from Zamfara State, has reportedly returned $80,000 she found to the owner in Saudi Arabia. Independent Hajj Reporters of Nigeria disclosed this on its Facebook page on Saturday. The platform also shared the picture of pilgrim who hails from from Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara. The post had the caption: “This Nigerian pilgrim Hajiya Aishatu y’an Guru Nahuce from Bungudu LGA of Zamfara State found $80,000 (N56,000,000) and handed it over to the Zamfara Pilgrims Welfare Agency official for onward return to the owner. May Almighty Allah rewards her honesty and accept her Hajj. Amen.”
