Advocacy Group Urges Tinubu to Reinstate Suspended NSIPA National Coordinator Amidst Allegations

The suspension of Halima Shehu Kafin Dangi, former National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has ignited a storm of controversy, with the "One-on-One Campaign Coordinator for Tinubu/Dikko 2023-2027" group calling for her immediate reinstatement. Transitioning from a successful career in banking to politics in 2010, Mrs. Shehu served as the Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State, demonstrating her commitment to public service. Senate affirms Kogi as an oil producing state receiving 13% derivation

The Senate Thursday affirmed Kogi State as an oil producing state receiving 13% derivation as stipulated for by section 162(2) of the 1999 Constitution ( as amended).  Affirmation of Kogi as an oil producing state receiving  13% derivation by the Senate , was sequel to a motion sponsored to that effect by Senator Jibrin Isah , popularly known as Echocho ( APC Kogi East). Senator Isah's motion came 24 hours after heated debate between him and Senator Tony Nwoye on the status of Kogi as an oil producing state receiving 13% derivation . While Tony Nwoye in his presentation at Senate plenary on Wednesday, on a bill seeking for inclusion of Anambra State in the operational radius of the Niger Delta Development Commission ( NDDC) , argued that Kogi State is not receiving 13% derivation like Anambra State, Echocho countered him that Kogi State has been a receiver of the 13% derivation since October 2022.
