Nigerian Lady, Helen Williams, Makes World's Longest Handmade Wig.

Nigerian Lady, Helen Williams has set a new world record for longest handmade wig. The Guinness World Record disclosed this on Tuesday, 14 November, 2023. The wig stretches an incredible 351.28 metres (1,152 ft 5 in). For Helen, the biggest challenge was finding a space to have the wig laid out in a straight line and accurately measured, as none of the venues she visited, including several running tracks, were long enough to accommodate it. And she eventually decided to do it beside the Lagos-Abeokuta Motorway, a long road connecting the cities of Lagos and Abeokuta. “It will take a while for me to digest. This achievement is one of the best things th...

15 Forgotten English Words That Are Very Relevant Today.

Language evolves and changes whether we like it or not; old languages change and fuse into new ones. There are long forgotten English words that need to be brought back to use because they still embody reasonable meanings.  Word death is a natural part of the evolution of any language. In the same way that language acquires new words and even structures through time, it also loses words and structures along the way. Sometimes, very useful words cease to exist for not-so-obvious reasons.  For example, the word “thee” had a very specific and elegant meaning, which is the singular object of a verb. Now this word has come to be replaced by the more general and confusing “you”. But why is it the case? Why do some words just mysteriously disappear? There are a number of reasons why words fall out of use throughout the history of a language. One reason why words become obsolete is that the thing they refer to no longer exists. Also when a new generation learns a language, it do...

 R. Kelly is suing the federal Bureau of Prisons over allegations that the agency leaked private information about the convicted singer to YouTuber Tasha K.  The Singer claims that the Bureau of Prisons and the Vloger were in cohorts to publicise his private matter while he was in custody out in Chicago during his time there. Social media personality, Tasha K (Latasha Kebe) was the same person singer Cardi B sued for defamation last year. The singer won a $3.9 million defamation judgement against the blogger over false statements Kebe made about drug use, STDs and prostitution on her YouTube channel “UnWinewithTashaK.” Kebe has since filed for federal bankruptcy, citing her inability to pay that huge judgment. If memory serves correctly,  Kelly was  convicted in 2021 for  racketeering and sex trafficking charges stemming from accusations that he orchestrated a long-running scheme to abuse women. In September 2022, he was convicted in Chicago on separate fed...
