Abuja, Nigeria — The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetoku, Ph.D., NPM, has announced a temporary suspension of the enforcement of the Motor Vehicles (Prohibition of Tinted Glass) Act, 1991 following a meeting with the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. The NBA delegation, led by its President, Afam Josiah Osigwe, SAN, met with the police leadership to deliberate on issues surrounding the enforcement of the tinted glass regulation and the need for cooperation between the Police and the legal community in ensuring respect for the rule of law. During the engagement, both parties held robust discussions on matters of mutual concern, emphasizing the importance of synergy in upholding justice and promoting public confidence in law enforcement.
