“How Can Someone Accuse Me of Murder and Still Want to Marry Me?” — Pastor Chris Okafor Breaks Silence on Doris Ogala Allegations
Lagos, Nigeria — The founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, has reacted to serious allegations leveled against him by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, describing the claims as contradictory, malicious, and completely unfounded.
Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Thursday, Pastor Okafor categorically denied accusations that he was involved in the death of Ogala’s brother, maintained a prolonged romantic relationship with the actress, or reneged on a promise of marriage.
“The Allegations Do Not Add Up” — Okafor
Addressing the controversy, the cleric questioned the logic behind the accusations, noting that the same person accusing him of murder is also alleging that he intends to abandon her to marry someone else.
“How can someone claim they want to marry a man they are accusing of killing their brother?” Okafor asked, describing the narrative as deeply inconsistent and illogical.
According to him, there is much more to the issue than what has been shared publicly, insisting that the allegations are riddled with falsehoods, unanswered questions, and deliberate misrepresentation of facts.
Ex-Wife and Daughter Allegations Addressed
Pastor Okafor further revealed that his ex-wife has also joined in the accusations, claiming that he attempted to abuse one of their daughters. He firmly refuted the allegation, describing it as both false and defamatory.
The pastor alleged that the same ex-wife and daughter had previously approached a popular Nigerian blogger, requesting assistance to cover school fees and living expenses abroad, which he said amounted to approximately ₦80 million.
He questioned how individuals could make such grave accusations against someone they were simultaneously seeking financial support from.
“A Coordinated Attempt to Damage My Reputation”
Pastor Okafor dismissed all the claims as baseless, maintaining that the allegations form part of a coordinated attempt to tarnish his image and undermine his ministry.
He reiterated his innocence and expressed confidence that the truth would eventually come to light, urging the public to exercise caution and avoid drawing conclusions based on unverified claims.
