Reno Omokri has pleaded with the Nigerian government to legitimise the production of fake products in the country, thereby encouraging the producers to manufacture better and quality products, instead of arresting and jailing them. Reno, who bared his mind via his Twitter (X) handle said: "Whenever regulatory agencies and law enforcement bodies in Nigeria identify and nab counterfeiters, whether of foods and beverages or designer brands, phones, electronics or pharmaceuticals, we should not just send them to jail and throw away the keys. "Instead, we should have an agency to legitimise these people. If you can counterfeit the real thing, you can definitely create your own indigenous technology. These guys are not destructive criminals that engage in drug peddling, romance scams and yahoo. They are creative geniuses that reverse engineer a product and replicate it. US man cleared of murder after 48 years in prison

AN Oklahoma judge has exonerated a man who spent 48 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit, the longest known wrongful sentence in the US.   Mr Simmons served 48 years, one month and 18 days in prison for the 1974 murder of Carolyn Sue Rogers during a liquor store robbery in an Oklahoma City suburb.   Mr Simmons was 22 years old when he and a co-defendant, Don Roberts, were convicted and sentenced to death in 1975.
