Court refuses to grant Detained Presidential Aspirant, Okorocha, Bail

A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday, refused to grant bail to Rochas Okorocha , who is currently in the custody of the anti-corruption agency, EFCC. Justice Inyang Ekwo, instead, ordered Mr Okorocha, through his lawyer, Ola Olanipekun, to put the anti-graft agency on notice. Olanipekun had, in an ex-parte motion marked FHC/ABJ/CR/28/2022, prayed the court to grant Mr Okorocha bail on liberal terms pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice filed on May 25  The ex-parte motion was dated and filed May 26.    But Justice Ekwo held that since the matter would be coming up on Monday, making an order for the release of the lawmaker on bail would be unnecessary. The senior lawyer also hinted that he had also filed a motion on notice, seeking for his client’s bail. The judge, who fixed May 30 for the hearing of the motions, directed the lawyer to put the EFCC on notice. NAN reports that Mr Ekwo had, at the last adjourned date, given the anti-corruotion commissi...

Salah has repeatedly stated that he is poised for revenge against Real Madrid come May 28 after he limped off injured in the 2018 showpiece against the same opponents. Real Madrid won that game 3-1 to lift the trophy and Salah feels the result was due to a strong tackle from Sergio Ramos. The Egyptian has, on more than one occasion, spoken about his desire to have revenge when the sides meet again this weekend. But Mane, though, wants to approach the Paris final like any other game, adding that the revenge comments are Salah’s opinion, not the squad. Speaking ahead of the Reds’ trip to the French capital, the Senegalese international said (via Goal): “This is special, Salah. This is Salah, not us. For sure, he said it, but for me, it’s just a game like all other games, which w...

DR. K. N. JACOB Outlines Why happily married woman cheat on her husband

Happily married couple Why would a happily married woman cheat on her husband? A lot of people assume that happily married women never cheat on their husbands. Nothing could be further from the truth. Far too many women cheat on the man they sincerely love and desperately adore. While I’m not condoning infidelity, let me share three possibilities for this phenomenon. One, infidelity is a crime of opportunity. Many happily married couples don’t plan to cheat on their partners but they also don’t strongly resist cheating opportunities especially when they are doing projects away from home. It doesn’t take a lot of effort for a cunning outsider to excite a married woman so long as she feels her cheating-mate won’t burst her bubble. Three, emotional negligence. The man in her life may be a gr...
