Atiku Abubakar, says the “war” over the 2023 Presidential election is still on. Speaking at a press conference organised by the party on Thursday, Atiku said he has asked his lawyers to proceed to the Supreme Court. Atiku said, “I respect the judgement of yesterday but  I refuse to accept it because it lacks justice. In the words of my mentor, Shehu Yar Adua, ‘losing a battle is less important than losing a war.’ We shall win the war of restoring confidence and restoring hope in our electoral system. The war is not over.”

Tinubu Welcomes Tribunal’s Verdict, Urges Atiku, Obi To Support his Government  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday, welcomed the judgment of the Tribunal with a sense of responsibility and preparedness to serve all Nigerians, irrespective of all diverse political persuasions, faiths, and tribal identities. In a  12-hour judgment, the Presidential Election Petitions Court struck out the petitions challenging Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential poll. The court upheld the victory of Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election. Lagos Assembly fails to clear Egube, Olalere again —Clears Omotoso, Abayomi, Dada, others  Lagos State House of Assembly has again failed to confirm former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Sam Egube and his Energy counterpart, Engr Olalere Odusote as members of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu cabinet. Egube and Odusote were not confirmed for second term during the confirmation of the second list of the 18 nominees presented to the Lagos Assembly by Governor Sanwo-Olu. A new nominee, Tolani Sule Akibu was also rejected by the House. Meanwhile, the Assembly confirmed former Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, as well as ex-Health Commissioner, Prof. Akin Abayomi and 13 others.
