Interesting facts about the English language.

 Did you know that the English language is not the official language of England and the USA? However, it is the "de facto official language" for both the UK and USA. By "de facto language, I mean it is a language widely spoken in the region.

The word 'orange' was originally 'norange'. Before one could say a 'norange', but since losing the 'n'; we now say "an orange". In Spanish, till date, it is still 'naranja'. Some claim the French did it first; une orange.

The character "&" used to be the 27th letter of the English language.
