Ways of getting through a breakup.

It's gut wrenching to mourn someone who is still alive. Emotional pain becomes physical pain or illness. You miss them so much, but in your heart you know they don't care about you even a little.

Your short term memory becomes temporarily affected, and yet you know you have to get through it. True love isn't always something you can turn off easily, it stays forever.

It takes a certain kind of strength to overcome deep loss, but life is the way it is. Reality is not always favorable.

Here are ways to get through a breakup;

1. Exercise often: Aerobic exercises like running, jogging or hitting the gym have invigorating rewards. You feel the endorphin rush cloud your head. Run till you can't.

2. Let go of memories that might remind you of them. A picture, videos or any memento from the past.

3. Music: Music is therapeutic. Any genre is great as long as you connect personally with it.

4. Go the way out and speak to friends. The pains of hurt can implode your gut if you let it in for too long. Speak to a trusted company.

5. Consulting a relationship therapist: Relationship therapists are very skilled with the right words to help guide you in your periods of painful transitions.

6. See movies, read books.

7. Learn something new: It could be a new skill or new language. Distractions of any sort are helpful as long as you don't hurt from thinking about that one person.
