Former Lawmaker, Shehu Sani Congratulates Boakai On Victory.

  Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, on Saturday congratulated the Liberian president-elect, Joseph Boakai, who won at the just-concluded general election in the country.   Sani disclosed this in a tweet posted on his X handle on Saturday, November 18, describing the outcome of the election as credible, transparent and peaceful. Boakai previously served as the 29th vice president of Liberia from 2006 to 2018, under President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. The outgoing president and a former professional footballer, George Weah conceded defeat after the country's elections commission announced Boakai the winner with 50.9 percent of the vote while Weah scored 49.1 percent. Oyo State Chef, Tope Maggie breaks Alan Fisher's 119-hour and 57 minute Guinness World Record Cooking Record.

Nigerian chef, Temitope Adebayo, also known as Tope Maggie is said to have broken Irish Chef – Alan Fisher's cooking record.  This was made known in a TikTok video captioned, "The record is broken congrats to Nigeria, Oyo State, Chef Tope Maggie". This video was greeted with an applause from fans of the said chef. With people believing it is a headscratcher, we are yet to receive a response from the official page of the Guinness World Records.  Assuminfmg this record is real, Tope’s accomplishment would be noteworthy for Nigeria, since it reclaims the title of longest continuous cooking from Alan Fisher, who had just dethroned chef Hilda Bassey following her 93-hour record. Tope Maggie is a graduate of Hotel Management from the Federal Polytechnic in Ede, Osun State. Funnily, he got the nick name 'Maggie' from his mom for his outstanding cooking skills. Tope currently manages a chain of restaurants in Ogbomoso.

The World's Oldest Monumental Site: Göbekli Tepe

Göbekli Tepe is a Neolithic settlement inhabited from c. 9500 to at least 8000 BCE, in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. Its structures are therefore 11,000 years old, or more, 6,000 years before Stonehenge and the great pyramids of Giza, making them humanity's oldest known monumental site, built not for shelter but for some other purpose. Archaeologists still consider the place a mysterious riddle that predates Earth's great civilizations by thousands of years. Many things if not everything in Göbekli Tepe constitute an issue in explaining why, how and when. 5-year-old boy in California stabs twin brother to death.

Deputies from the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a stabbing at the 200 block of Tucker Road in Scotts Valley, California, on Wednesday. Upon their arrival, the officers learned that the brothers had been fighting and that one of them grabbed a small kitchen knife and stabbed his twin during the encounter. The 5-year-old received "life-saving efforts" from deputies and first responders. He was later taken to a hospital, where he died. The sheriff's office said that an investigation showed that "there is no indication of negligence or criminal activity by any other party." "In coordination with the District Attorney’s Office and in light of all circumstances discovered by our investigators, no charges will be filed against anyone involved. The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has shared the 'Perfect Lagos Selfies' captured as Slack-liner and Red Bull Athlete, Jaan Roose, walked on a rope from Sterling Towers to the Onome Rig. The Lagos Safety Commission had partnered Red Bull on a project meant to showcase the beauty of the state which was tagged the 'Perfect Lagos Selfie'. Sanwo-Olu shared photos from the exercise on his X page on Saturday.
