Roller Coaster Malfunction Traps Riders 200 Feet in the Air.

Amusement park attendees in Sandusky, Ohio, went on a ride they’ll likely never forget. As scores of families flocked to Cedar Point amusement park for some summer fun, one group got much more than they bargained for when the Magnum XL-200 roller coaster malfunctioned and got stuck more than 200 feet in the air, according to CBS News. Video that circulated on social media showed what appears to be riders being forced to evacuate the ride and walk down a steep set of stairs attached to the attraction to make it back to the ground.  According to the theme park’s official website, the ride is featured as a Guinness World Record holder for “its leading edge height" which it says "is enough to amaze anybody.” When the ride was first introduced in 1989, it made history as the fastest and steepest complete-circuit coaster in the world.  Ohio’s Cedar Point isn’t the only park to face a recent malfunction that trapped riders. Just last month, thrill seekers at the Forest Country ...

Things you must do when a close friend or lover changes.

When a close person changes, the first reaction is always heartbreak. You feel so angry, so sad, so confused, and so helpless, all at the same time. It takes you a while to even accept that even that person can change. But what should you do? First, you should respect the depth of that bond. You should always tell the person clearly what changes you have seen, and how this has hurt you so badly. If that person does not accept the mistake or does not do anything to correct it, then it’s all up to you. That bond has gone from “special” to “just another.” Now you have two choices. Either you can close this chapter and walk away forever or you can accept the demotion of your importance in that person’s life and stay there. I personally will choose to leave 99 times of 100. But maybe for one person, I will stab my own heart and still stay. Why? Some pains are worth suffering. But do I suggest you do that? No. Please don’t. It hurts like hell. You will never get used to it. You will nev...

2 Seven-Eleven employees beat robber with stick until he starts crying.

A video shared online recently showed a man with his head and face covered in a blue t-shirt grabbing a trash can and then stuffing it with boxes of tobacco products. The man taking the video politely asks the suspect to get him "a swisher," but the suspect ignored his request. The suspect continues to stuff the trash can while cussing people out and then threatening to shoot the workers. The man taking the video repeatedly tells the workers "ain't nothing you can do" as the suspect was trying to steal hundreds of dollars worth of items. The suspect starts crying and begs the worker to stop beating him, telling everyone he can't walk anymore. "That's called whooping your ***," the guy taking the video shouted in the video. Story of Douglas Brent, the American navy officer who was named "The Incredibly Stupid".

Douglas Brent was an American Navy petty officer who was taken captive during the Vietnam War, he was considered dumb by his captors and they gave him the nickname "The Stupid".  He acted like an imbecile, refusing to speak,  instead he continuously hummed a song. Throughout his imprisonment, he remained in a similar state, to the extent that the Vietnamese captors believed he had some form of cognitive impairment. When asked to write statements against the United States, he agreed, but pretended to be unable to read or write, which was believable to his Vietnamese captors.  Thinking they had someone who would be easily turned to their cause, they assigned someone to teach Brent to read. After Hegdahl appeared to be incapable of learning to read and write, his captors gave up on him. Later, he came to be known to the Vietnamese as "The Incredibly Stupid One", and he was given nearly free run of the camp. Brent also convinced his captors that he needed new glasses a...
