Police Arrest Man In Connection With Tupac's Murder Las Vegas police have arrested a man, Duane' Keege D' Davis, concerning the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. Shakur was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.  The rapper and Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight was on their way to a nightclub when an unidentified gunman fired 14 shots, hitting Shakur four times, ultimately leading to his death days later. According to the Associated Press, the police arrested Duane Friday morning. Charges are yet to be revealed. Duane's arrest comes two months after the Las Vegas police searched his home as "part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation," NBC reported. Police reportedly found some items, including a Pokeball USB drive, a black iPhone, two iPads, and a purple Toshiba laptop.

Bashala had mourned her on Instagram after her death.  Zoleka also listed some relatives who sexually abused her. Shakira Faces Eight Years Jail Term For Tax Fraud  Colombian singer and songwriter, Shakira, 46, has once again been accused by prosecutors of defrauding the Spanish treasury of £5.75 million, and may face up to eight years in prison if convicted. Federal Capital Territory Administration says owners of 149 impounded vehicles, 100 tricycles and motorcycles in the FCT will appear before a mobile court for various traffic offences. The Director, of FCTA Directorate of Road Traffic Services, also known as Vehicles Inspection Officers, Dr Abdulateef Bello, stated this in Abuja, after inspecting the impounded vehicles. Bello, who visited some of the VIO Commands where the impounded vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles were kept, said that the owners would pay dearly for their sins. He explained that the offences included parking in unauthorised areas, driving against traffic, and operating unregistered and unpainted taxis as well as illegal motor parks.

In the suit filed at the Kogi State High Court last week, Governor Bello prayed the court to compel Akpoti-Uduaghan to tender an unreserved apology to him on four national television stations. Minister of Works, David Umahi has revealed that the Abuja-Lagos highway will be completed in 2027 and will last for 100 years.  Addressing journalists on Saturday, September 23, Umahi said the proposed 470 kilometres Abuja-Lagos Greenfield superhighway will be built by a private sector consortium at no cost to the government. The minister said the consortium will operate the facility for a yet-to-be-determined period on a build, operate and transfer deal. The highway will also be tolled at different points to enable the investors recoup their investment. Kebbi State Government has announced a ban on all mining activities in the state, citing insecurity and the need to protect mining workers and host communities. The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Yakubu Tafida said the government took the precautionary measure after a thorough assessment of the current security situation. “This is a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring the safety of workers and people in mining communities,” Tafida said at a news conference in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital. He said the government was not unmindful of the fact that mining is under the Exclusive Legislative List, but took the action in the interest of its citizens. The SSG stated that the government will tackle these concerns by conducting a thorough evaluation and implementing stringent regulations. Leadership reports that in Lagos the dollar is trading for N1000, in Abuja and Port Harcourt, the price of the dollar is N980/$1, while it is selling for N965/$1 in Kano. Meanwhile, the official rate of the dollar is N768.5/$1. A market survey on Thursday showed that in the black or parallel market, the dollar is gaining more strength against the local currency, despite the government’s promise to crash the price of the dollar to increase the value of the naira. A currency trader in the Wuse Zone 4 area of Abuja Mallam Abu told the publication that the price of the dollar is expected to appreciate beyond the current level in the coming days. He said the reason the price is currently hovering around N980 was due to lower demand for the hard currency at the moment.

According to the results released by Ahmad Dokko Ibrahim, the returning officer, Yusuf polled a total of 1,019,602 votes, while Yusuf Gawuna of the APC secured 890,705 votes. PICTORIAL:A baby has been born at a hospital in Rajasthan, Northwestern India, with 14 fingers and 12 toes. The baby girl has seven fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. While doctors have described her condition as a genetic anomaly, her family are reportedly delighted and have publicly called her the reborn version of Dholagarh Devi, a well-known local deity whose temple is near where the girl was born.  A medic at the hospital where the baby was born, Dr BS Soni, said "There is no harm of any kind in having 26 fingers, but it is a genetic anomaly. The girl is otherwise absolutely healthy." The UK announced that Nigerians and other citizens, except British and Irish nationals, wishing to enter the country must apply for Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). The new rule becomes effective from November 15, 2023, and applies to everyone, including children.
