Paying tithes, first fruit, and offering in church simply because you want financial breakthrough is purely commerce and a tool for manipulation in the hands of those who know the truth.- Reno Omokri

Paying tithes, first fruit, and offering in church simply because you want financial breakthrough is purely commerce, not religion or faith. It is a disservice to God. And a tool for manipulation in the hands of those who know the truth.  Peter and James, the heads of the early Ekklesia, set only four rules for Gentiles who turned to God. They can be found in Acts 15:19.  Stop arguing blindly. You are arguing your church doctrines and not Scripture. Get your head out of your pastors' armpits and stick your nose into the holy Scriptures. Tithes were an agricultural tax imposed by God on the eleven tribes that got land in the Promised Land and payable only to the Levites because they were not allowed to own land or work.  "I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the tent of meeting."-Numbers 18:21.  Let me ask you a question. The Levites were forbidden from having property. We see this in Deute...

Olanipekun described the 1999 constitution as “fake” and lacking the required elements to address the various challenges confronting the country. Olanipekun spoke delivering the 32nd and 33rd convocation lecture of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. He said “We need a constitution with a humane face. I’m a lawyer, but we are deceiving ourselves, our constitution is fake and I have said this over and over, but then you will ask we lawyers that, ‘if we say the constitution is fake, why are we practicing it’? Lawyers and judges apply the law as it is, not the law as it ought to be, so we apply the law as we have it now and we have been pleading that we should amend the constitution, let us overhaul it. “I, as president of the NBA, I led ...
