A video revealing the moment a convict, Deobra Redden, attacked a Clark County District Court Judge, Mary Holthus, in Las Vegas, United States of America, is trending on social media.  The video revealed the moment Redden moved from where he was standing and jumped into the judge’s bench to attack her.  The PUNCH reports that the convicted criminal attacked and assaulted the Las Vegas judge during a hearing on Wednesday after she refused to grant him bail.  Witnesses told The Independent that a courtroom marshal was hospitalised with a dislocated shoulder and a gushing cut on his forehead after being hurt while attempting to remove the defendant.  The Las Vegas district court in a statement said, “We commend the heroic acts of her staff, law enforcement, and all others who subdued the defendant.  “The court remains committed to a safe and secure courthouse and courtrooms. Boko Haram Gunmen In Military Uniform Attack Chibok In Borno, Kill 12 Residents

The latest attack came barely two weeks after the insurgents perpetrated a similar attack in Chibok, where they killed two persons and looted food stuff in some houses before settling them ablaze. Suspected Boko Haram terrorists in military uniform have killed 12 persons and abducted one in Gatamarwa and Tsiha communities in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State. Atiku Reacts "Suspend Chicago University Too” After Benin, Togo Cert Revocation"

The camp of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has slammed the federal government’s suspension of degree certificate evaluation and accreditation from Benin Republic and Togo, calling it a “deceptive” move that ignores a bigger problem. Reacting to the suspension announced on Tuesday, January 2nd, Atiku’s spokesperson, Abdul Rasheeth, took to social media, accusing the government of hypocrisy and selective action. “Universities in Benin and Togo are not the only ones culpable in certificate racketeering,” Rasheeth wrote. “Suspending their accreditation is nothing but deception! This isn’t the first time FG is doing that!” He pointed to Chicago State University (CSU) and its affiliates as a prime example of institutions allegedly involved in “nefarious means and unconscionable methods” of issuing degrees.
