Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle, has asked Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State and his chief security officer to point out where the Federal High Court sitting in Sokoto, ordered the retrieval of 50 vehicles in its judgement. This was contained in a statement by Matawalle’s spokesman, Ibrahim Dosara, to journalists on Wednesday. Matawalle described the statement issued by Zamfara State Government as misleading, fraudulent and a pervasive lie against the court which is tantamount to contempt of court. He said there was nowhere in the judgement where the court okayed the invasion of the residences of the former governor.

Anyone Complaining About Hardship In Nigeria Is Not Being Realistic – FG Newly-appointed Director General of National Orientation Agency (NOA) and former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Isa-Onilu has said Nigerians complaining of hardship is not realistic. In an interview with Sunday Sun sighted by Native Reporters, Isa-onile said anybody who is talking about hardship now is not being realistic. Why? Nigeria is like a building or a house with multiple cracks for several years, but all we do is to patch the cracks with cement while more continue to widen. When a new buyer or new tenant comes and decides to bring down and rebuild the building so that it won’t collapse, in the process of rebuilding, people will not have shelter.

HUNGER : Single Mother Of Two Arrested And Disgraced For Allegedly Stealing A Goat In Benue. A young woman was nabbed for allegedly stealing a goat in Gboko, Benue State. Details of the incident are sketchy but it was gathered that she was caught a few days ago. One Ahar Galu, in a post on Sunday, December 3, 2023, said he spoke with the woman, adding that she is a single mother of two. He also disclosed that some people have indicated interest in helping the woman to either get a job or start a business.

Young Virgins Initiated Into Womanhood In Ogu town,(OKRIKA )Rivers State The people of Ogu kingdom in Ogu/Bolo LGA of Rivers State on Saturday celebrated Iria, an ancient ceremony that marks the transition of girls who are usually virgins into womanhood Young virgins were given certificates by the Ogu council of chiefs for passing through the test.  Iria, is considered a rite of passage for young girls as they reach puberty and begin to mature physically To pass through the test, the girls must first be virgins which will be checked by women of the town, then they will be kept in a room where they will undergo training on womanhood After passing through this process, the qualified girls will be given certificates showing that they are now adult ladies ready to marry. It's an  OKRIKA Ijaw ceremony that dates back to the 17th century.

Stop Luring Muslims to Christian Programmes – MURIC warns Lagos Govt, attacks Oyakhilome. The Lagos State Chapter of the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has called on the education authorities in Lagos State to desist from luring innocent and unsuspecting Muslim students across the state to church programmes under the guise of fake humanitarian schemes. Chairman, MURIC Lagos Chapter, Dr. Busari Muhammad Jamiu Ademola, in a statement bemoaned the attitude of the officers of the ministry of education in luring students to the programmes through official invitation. He said: “We are deeply worried by the incessant luring of innocent Muslim students to church programmes, particularly that of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. The programme, as reliably investigated, is sponsored by the cleric, who in conjunction with the officials of the Lagos State ministry of education, arranged the transportation of students to the venue.
