Reps summon Naira Marley over Mohbad’s royalties The House of Representatives has summoned controversial singer, Azeez Fashola, known by his stage name, Naira Marley, to appear before it in a bid to secure the musical rights of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.  The House Committee on Justice, Youth and Legislative Compliance, also invited Mohbad’s manager, Jiggy Adeoye, to appear on October 31. The House resolution followed the adoption of a motion moved by Babajimi Benson, the lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Lagos State on Thursday. Femi Otedola donates N1million each to 750 students of Augustine University as he is made Chancellor of the institution.  Femi Otedola donated a total of seven hundred and fifty million Naira to all the students of Augustine University in Ilara Epe, Lagos State.   The business mogul and philanthropist was officially inaugurated as the Chancellor of the institution today, Oct. 26.  Dr Alfred Adewale Martins, the Catholic Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos, was present for Otedola's inauguration, which took place during the 5th Convocation ceremony of Augustine University.  After his inauguration, Otedola donated N1million each to 750 students of Augustine University to "assists the plight of the parents of our students in this difficult time."

Supreme Court dismisses Atiku’s appeal challenging Tribunal judgement.  On Thursday, Oct. 26, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by the People’s Democratic Party presidential  candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the Sept. 6 judgement of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.  The apex court also upheld the rulling by the Appeal Court that a candidate does not need to get at least 25 percent of votes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to be declared as the country's president.
