A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kaduna State has been hacked to d€@th by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The victim, Grace Chalya Silas, was k!!led in the Barnawa area of the Kaduna metropolis while doing her early morning jogging along the road on Thursday. A close friend of the late Grace told Channels Television that the criminals stabbed her in the chest and later made away with her phone. Police Launch Manhunt Police authorities have launched a manhunt for the assailants. While the management of the NYSC is yet to comment on the incident, spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command Manir Hassan said the police authorities are on a manhunt for the killers. “It’s a very tragic incident. The statement read, "Another 30-year-old man identified as Shuaibu Abubakar has been arrested following the manhunt by the operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command in collaboration with Hunters on 17/10/2023. PHOTOS: EFCC Arrests 17 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Edo Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Tuesday, October 17, arrested 17 suspected Internet fraudsters in Benin City, Edo State. The EFCC made this known in a statement on their official X handle on Wednesday. According to the statement, the suspects were arrested at their hideouts in different locations, following actionable intelligence on their nefarious activities. The statement added that they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded. Items recovered from them include different cars, phones, and laptops. The suspects are Unvive Tegwolo, Imemesi Daniel, Ojo Tohanmwen, Olise Ikenna, Kadiri Eric, Yakubu Izegwire, Omozuafo Collins, Elect Osayuwa, Destiny Ewere, Ayodele Eugene, and Eric Onwusiweka.
