English Words You Didn’t Know That Come From Arabic.

Arabic is one of the most ancient and beautifully scripted languages. It is spoken by nearly 400 million users, placing it among the most 5 spoken languages in the world. Its influence on Spanish since the time of the Moors is well known, but what’s less well known is how many commonly used English words were actually taken from Arabic. English didn’t borrow all of the words directly; they mostly came filtered through Latin, Turkish, French, Spanish, German, and/or Italian, and have changed in form — and sometimes meaning — since they left Arabic. Here is a list: 1. Hilarious facts about mammals you probably didn't know.

Bears are smaller than you think, but you were pretty close. Otters are bigger than you think, probably not bigger than that. Wolves are bigger than you think. Wild cats are smaller than you think, but hopefully you will never see one.  Chipmunks are smaller than you think so are mice, but you've seen a mice right? All along, you were right about the size of a mooose. Pigs are bigger than you think. Coyotes are probably the same size you visualise in your head; so are foxes. Bears are fluffy but not cuddly at all. Buffaloes are bigger than you imagine, I bet you have never seen anything that big in your life. This is an informational post about mammals. If you think there's more we didn't add, you can let us know in the comments. The real lesson here is that people need to get more out in nature.

27-years ago today Nigeria Super Eagles Beat Argentina to win First Olympic Gold Medal.

27-years ago today, the Nigerian football team made history after beating Argentina to become Olympic Gold medalists at Sanford Stadium, Atlanta. The team that beat Argentina are inarguably referred to as the Nigerian dream football team. They were the first African football team to win an Olympic Gold medal in football. Goals from Celestine Babayaro, Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Amunike were enough to secure a 3-2 victory over a star-studded Argentina side.  The Jo Bonfrere-led side beat other good teams on their way to the final – including Brazil in the semifinal. They are the Nigerian dream team having the likes of prime Kanu Nwankwo and JJ Okocha. The year 1996 would always be a cultural memory for all Nigerians.

Mark Zuckerberg Reveals His Crazy Eating Appetite.

On Tuesday, the Meta co-founder shared a long list of his favorite McDonald’s menu items in a post on Threads. The Threads post started when McDonald's asked “y’all want anything from mconald’s?” Zuckerberg, 39, wrote back: “20 nuggets, a quarter pounder, large fries, Oreo McFlurry, apple pie, and maybe some side cheeseburgers for later?” UFC Fighter Mike Davis responded to the Threads post and called out his training. “You’re in camp! No Mcdonalds 😂,” he wrote. The Meta CEO told Davis in response: “Not cutting weight so I need ~4000 calories a day to offset all the activity. And it's so delicious…”
