Banks have been directed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to vacate a post-no-debit restriction placed on the bank accounts of 440 individuals and companies. This is coming two years after the apex bank instructed banks to freeze accounts of 18 companies, ranging from bureaux de change (BDCs), construction firms, investment companies, laundering services, and property companies. The affected companies at the time include Bakori Mega Services, Ashambrakh General Enterprise, Namuduka Ventures Limited, Crosslinks Capital and Investment Limited, IGP Global Synergy Limited, Davedan Mille Investment Limited and Urban Laundry. The Nigerian Army clarifies arrest, says detention of soldier not for converting from Islam to Christianity. Army said the soldier is in custody for violation of some provisions of the Armed Forces Act. It disclosed the soldier absconded for about six and a half months, resulting in the declaration of the soldier on Absence Without Official Leave (AWOL).

 Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA legend LeBron James, is recovering in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering from cardiac arrest during a workout on Monday.  Yesterday while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff were able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. Bronny graduated from Sierra Canyon High School in May, and had announced he would be going to USC to play basketball earlier that month. Speaking with Spectrum SportsNet at the time, LeBron called the occasion "one of the best days of my life."

  The inspiration for Barbie came from a German doll called Bild Lilli who was a popular comic strip character created by Reinhard Beuthien, appearing in the German tabloid newspaper "Bild" from 1952 to 1961. Lilli was a high-end call girl who used her charm and wit to seduce wealthy men. She was also known to rally against male authority. In one particular comic, a policeman warns Lilli about public indecency for wearing her bikini on the sidewalk to which she replies, “Oh, and in your opinion, what part should I take off?”  Ruth Handler, the co-founder of Mattel, discovered Bild Lilli during a trip to Europe in 1956. She purchased a few Lilli dolls as souvenirs and noticed that her daughter Barbara enjoyed playing with them.   The Argentine captain's first game as an Inter Miami player saw him score a 94th-minute free kick to break a 1-to-1 tie with the Mexico City-based Cruz Azul that propelled his team to a 2-to-1 victory. The game-winning moment was one that was witnessed by football fans and many Hollywood celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Lebron James, and Serena Williams. David Beckham, who is an Inter Miami co-owner, was also present with his wife, Victoria Beckham. The match was Inter Miami's first in the Leagues Cup, a monthlong competition between Major League Soccer and Liga MX sides.
