The Federal Government said the train services on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line are set to return this month, November. This was disclosed today, Nov. 7, by the Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Sambo while giving the scorecard of his ministry in Abuja. He said adequate security has been put in place to ensure the safety of passengers. The Minister, however, did not give any specific date for the resumption. Sambo said the ministry has learnt enough lessons from the attack in March which claimed the lives of several passengers leading to the suspension of train service on the Abuja-Kaduna route.

Bank CEO Recounts ‘POS Business’ At Lagos Fuel Station The Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Bank Plc, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman, on Monday, shared his experience of being tricked into transacting business with a point of sale operator at a fuel station on Ahmadu Bello Way in Lagos State by a fuel attendant. He took to his Twitter handle on Monday to share his experience. Suleiman stated that the fuel attendant did not attempt to use the company’s POS machine and instead directed him to a POS agent in the filling station, under the guise that his POS was not working. He tweeted, “I experienced a new revenue (share) model at MRS on Ahmadu Bello Way. “Our POS is not working, here’s an agent, please pay through him (collect cash using her POS and pay), it will be for a fee’. “Me: why would her POS work and yours wouldn’t? TOYOTA (CHINA) AUTOMOBILE RECALLS 14,799 DEFECTIVE LEXUS VEHICLES The Federal Road Safety Corps wishes to draw the attention of the motoring public, particularly those who are presently using Lexus NX260, Lexus NX3650h and Lexus NX400h+ manufactured between 31 March, 2021 to 26 April 2022 to a faulty programming of the Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) System, which has prompted the Company to recall the categories of the listed vehicles. According to the report contained in a memo forwarded by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the company is also recalling 6,491 Lexus NX260 with defective Electric Parking Brake (EPB) system which was manufactured between 19 April 2021 and 15 July 2022. The withdrawal is specifically premised on the fact that the vehicles will pose safety hazard to their users thereby leading to crashes.
