Man arrested for smuggling coc@ine hidden neatly in bathing soaps from Kenya going to Spain. A 27-year-old man identified as Madu Chukwuemeka Miracle has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for smuggling coc@ine from Kenya into Nigeria. According to a statement by the Director, Media & Advocacy of the agency, Femi Babafemi, the suspect was arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, AIIA, Enugu on arrival from Nairobi, Kenya via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Wednesday 26th Oct. “A search of his three bags revealed seventy-six (76) foreign bathing soaps made with coc@ine in one of the bags while another has two plastic bottles containing cream like liquid, which tested positive to coc@ine. The coc@ine bars weigh 10.650 kilograms while the liquid coc@ine weighs 2.496 kilograms, bringing the total weight to 13.146 kilograms,” the statement read.

Borno State Police Command  arrests housewife, Fatima Abubakar, 25, for allegedly killing her husband, Goni Abbah, with poison. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Abdu Umar, who disclosed this to the  News Agency of Nigeria  in Maiduguri, the state capital, said the suspect was arrested on October 19 at Anguwan Doki. Umar said the victim, who was the Chief Imam of the area, had returned from a mosque when the suspect, who was his second wife, allegedly put poison in his food. He explained that as soon as Abbah started eating, he began feeling uncomfortable According to him, the victim was immediately rushed to the State Specialist Hospital where he was given medical attention, but later died.
