The Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has dislodged the scavengers colony in Katampe Abuja. Senior Special Assistant on Monitoring,  Inspection and Enforcement to the Minister of FCT, Comrade Ikharo Attah while leading the team on the demolition, urged the indigenes that are renting their cashew plantations to scavengers to desist from doing so. He explained that the Scavengers were wrecking so much havoc under these plantations and the Administration is determined to tackle it head-on. According to him, some of the Scavengers were seen with dangerous weapons and even   car number plate. "Part of our work to rid the city of criminally minded refuse collectors, We came here in Katampe, where we met them heavily hiding in this cashew plantation and we have gone ahead to remove them. They are people who are largely tied to crime, we even saw someone's plate number, and we asked them what are you doing with someone's plate number and they couldn't explain so ...

Court Jails Mama BoKo Haram, Three Others, 7 Years The Maiduguri Zonal Command of the EFCC has secured the conviction and sentencing of Aisha Alkali Wakil, (a.k.a Mama Boko Haram) alongside Tahiru Alhaji,  Saidu Daura and Prince Lawal Shoyode.  Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court,  sentenced them on Thursday, September 29, 2022   to seven years imprisonment each, for the offences of conspiracy and another seven years for obtaining money by false pretences.  The defendants were first arraigned on September 14, 2020 before Justice Kumaliya on two count charges for the offences of conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N 15,000,000.00 (Fifteen Million Naira). The convicts made their ways to the Correctional Centers when they falsely obtained the sum of N15 million from a petitioner, in the guise of providing solar energy for his use. EFCC Arrests 95 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Delta State  Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the EFCC have arrested ninety five(95) suspected internet fraudsters in Warri, Delta State.   I miss the South East we used to know, - Femi Adesina Each time I read of killings by gunmen in the South East, I go into the doldrums. I get mortified by the sheer waste of precious lives, the wantonness, malevolence and viciousness of it all. And I mean killings on both sides. Senate President Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan accepts Federal High Couurt judgement which disqualified  Him.  He wrote Yesterday, Wednesday, 28th September, 2022, the Federal High Court in Damaturu delivered judgement on the rightful candidate for Yobe North Senatorial District for the 2023 National Assembly elections. The said judgement disqualifies my candidature and therefore my participation in the elections. After due consultations with my political associates, supporters and well-wishers, I have decided not to appeal against the judgement. I accept the judgement.
