 EFCC arraigns Cubana manager,  one other for alleged $164,000.00 money laundering in Lagos The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, arraigned Lucky Uchechukwu Ndukwe, a manager with Cubana Group, alongside one Precious Omonkhoa Ofure before Justice Justice O.A. Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, for an offence bordering on conspiracy to launder and money laundering. Ndukwe, also known as Cubana Prime Minister, and Ofure were arrested recently by operatives of the Commission, following credible intelligence received about their involvement in the fraudulent activity. The government of Sardinia is offering grants of up to €15,000 (£12,700) as an incentive for those considering a move to the idyllic Italian island. Adamawa State, Elisha Tari explains Why I stoned my two sons to death. A 25-year-old father in Adamawa State, Elisha Tari, has explained why he stoned his two sons to death last week. He said he stoned the boys, who are three and five years, because they disobeyed him. "I asked them to say 'God' but they said 'fire' instead," he told newsmen at the Police headquarters in Yola where he is being held over the incident. The indigene of Himike village in Michika Local Government Area was nabbed last Thursday for allegedly hitting his two children with stones, leading to their death. Elisha is a local musician whose wife left, leaving the two children with him. Authorities of the police have once again said that its personnel have no right to check people’s phones arbitrarily on the road.  Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, reechoed the notice on Tuesday during an appearance on Sunrise Daily. “Stop checking phones on the road. You can’t check somebody’s phone. It is his personal property. You cannot do it,” Adejobi said of an activity which Nigerians have repeatedly accused policemen of doing.
