A young woman has reportedly d!ed during a s3x r0mp with her boyfriend in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. It was gathered that the incident happened at a guest house situated at Temidire community, Offa Garage area of Ilorin on Monday, October 30, 2023. Members of the community claimed that the man, who owns a barber’s shop, was under the influence of drugs with the aim of impressing his girlfriend before things took a turn for the worse, the Nigerian Tribune reported.  “The girl got tired during the m@ting and later gave up the ghost,” a source told the publication The source said that the man raised the alarm when the lady reportedly became unconscious and thus attracted workers of the guest house.  The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was confirmed d£ad. Abia Governor Alex Otti has revealed that ransoms paid for kidnapped victims were always dropped off around the Umuchieze Cattle Market in Lokpanta of Umunneochi Local Government Area.  In less than 48 hours, over 80 dead bodies and 20 headless decomposing bodies were recovered. Man who pretends as a delivery man to harvest brainbox and other vehicle parts arrested in Lagos Men of the Lagos state police command have arrested a 27-year-old man, Ogbonna Eze, who allegedly disguises as a dispatch rider to steal car parts. Parading the suspect before newsmen on Tuesday, October 17, the spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said on September 18, 2023, the command received reports that the suspect disguised himself as a dispatch rider to vandalize vehicles by removing brain boxes and other parts. The police immediately swung into action and apprehended the suspect. In a related development, the police on October 10, 2023, at about 0130hrs, based on credible intelligence, apprehended a group of boys in military uniform who invaded a motor park in Surulere and were stealing brain boxes. Promising Young Footballer Alvaro Prieto Found Dead Near Spanish Train Station A tragic turn of events has seen the 18-year-old footballer, Alvaro Prieto, who went missing four days ago, found dead near the Spanish train station where he was last seen.  Alvaro Prieto, a standout player for Spanish third-tier side Cordoba FC's youth team, vanished after missing his morning train back to Cordoba following a night out with friends in Seville. On my way to work this morning, I saw a pregnant woman standing by the roadside; from the look on her face, she was in severe pain (labor pain) She must have spent some time at the junction waiting for a taxi, but it seemed no taxi was willing to carry her in such a condition. While she was in pain, some other women were comforting her, and the gathering of people caught my attention. The Borno State Police Command on Saturday averted the theft of some train coaches at the Maiduguri Railway Terminus. The source said, "A suspected theft of train coaches of the Nigerian Railway Corporation was foiled at the Maiduguri Railway Terminus following a tip-off by Good Samaritans. The police also apprehended the suspects." When contacted, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mahmood Yakubu, denied knowledge of the incident but asked our correspondent to reach the regional manager for details. However, when dialled, the telephone number of the regional manager indicated that it was switched off. Senate begins hearing of bill to jail, fine parents N50,000 if they fail to enroll their children in school. A bill recommending a fine of N50,000 to be paid by parents who fail to provide their children with primary and secondary school education has passed first reading at the Senate. The Red Chamber also recommended free meals for every child in the country. The bill proposed by Senator Orji Kalu titled; ‘Compulsory free Universal Basic Education Act 2004, Section 2’, according to Punch. The section stated that “governments at all levels in the country, shall provide free, compulsory and universal basic education for every child of primary and junior secondary school age.” “Every parent shall ensure that his child or ward attends and completes his primary school education and junior secondary school education by endeavouring to send the child to primary and junior secondary schools.
