The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has banned Indomie Instant Noodles – Vegetable Flavour following the discovery of undeclared allergens in the product. According to NAFDAC, laboratory analysis revealed the presence of milk and egg allergens in the affected Indomie Vegetable Flavour noodles, despite these substances not being declared on the product’s label. The agency warned that this poses a serious health risk, particularly to individuals with food allergies. NAFDAC explained that undeclared allergens can trigger severe allergic reactions, including breathing difficulties, skin reactions, and in extreme cases, life-threatening complications.
