Gunmen Attack Anambra Church, Kill Priest’s Wife, One Other in Late-Night Raid
Anambra State —Tension in Anambra State as armed hoodlums stormed St. Andrews Anglican Church in a deadly late-night attack that left two people dead, including the wife of the resident priest.
According to eyewitness accounts, the attackers arrived at the church premises in the dead of the night, shooting sporadically before targeting residential quarters within the compound. The priest’s wife was fatally shot, while another victim, yet to be identified, was also killed during the assault.
The assailants went on to set multiple buildings and vehicles ablaze, leaving behind a trail of destruction that has thrown the community into deep fear and mourning.
