Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has met with a visiting delegation of U.S. lawmakers in Abuja, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to deepening counter-terrorism cooperation with the United States.
The visit by the U.S. congressional delegation follows high-level security talks held in Washington last month, signaling continued momentum in bilateral security engagements.
The delegation, led by senior members of the U.S. House of Representatives — Mario DÃaz-Balart, Norma Torres, Scott Franklin, Juan Ciscomani, and Riley Moore — held further discussions with Nigerian officials on expanding joint security initiatives.
Ribadu emphasized that Nigeria is ready to enhance collaboration with the United States across counter-terrorism operations, regional stability efforts, intelligence sharing, and the overall Nigeria-U.S. strategic security partnership.
