Eyimba stadium is in ruins from lack of maintenance. The LMC has advised the team to use the 20 million out of their 100 million prize money for renovation of the Eyimba FC stadium. Recall, the team was awarded 100 million for winning the 2022/23 NPL title.
A stadium of this status? It is no surprise that CAF Champions league competitions are not played there. The field has become so unkempt and unmaintained that the grasses are almost and exaggeratingly mini-forests; funnily, it could house a pride of lions or snakes.
The newly appointed chirman and ex-Super Eagles Legend, Kanu, and executive governor of the state, His excellency Sir Alex Otti are believed to take required actions soon. Hopefully they resurrect Eyimba from its ruins.
