There are three basic habits that turn the eyes of God away from humans.
The first we almost already know, but the second and third, some people don’t even know that they irritate and piss God off.
— The first is Sin: the prayers of a sinners are an abomination to God.
And the wages of sin is death.
This one everyone knows and attests to.
— The second are people with little or no Faith: amongst the divine virtues of mercy, faith, hope and love etc, faith is the second strongest.
Faith makes everything possible, it keeps your feet in tune with the trails of God.
I know we hear this everyday and we even know it, but more than half of people who call themselves Christians don’t possess the power and invincibility that comes with having ceaseless faith, and I am one amongst those even, unfortunately.
A sinner that has faith is stronger than a believer that is readily overwhelmed by fear and doubt.
Just like dogs specifically would sense your fear before they make to attack you, the Devil wants you afraid to be able to destroy you.
Fear is of the Devil, fear puts the Devil at an advantage over your situation, fear is like a fertile ground for the Devil to plant his seeds of destruction, chaos and death and watch them bloom with ease.
Nobody who has fear in him and is faithless is a true child of God.
— Murmuring, Complaining and Lamentations:
God so hates a heart that murmurs and readily complains. It is very irritating in his sight and I’d explain this with a scripture.
After the miracle of the Red Sea, the Israelites had barely settled when they began again to complain and murmur.
How Moses brought them from Egypt only to have them die in the wilderness.
How they would have been better off as slaves in Egypt even.
Imagine?
A people who just experienced one of the greatest miracles ever to happen in human history — the division of the red sea.
Moses heard this, bowed his head to the ground in anguish and tore his clothes in sorrow.
“What manner of people are this? How can a group of people be this ungrateful and unappreciative? Which kain Wahala I carry myself enter like this.”
He bemoaned.
The Lord heard this, and became very angry and mad, and told Moses to tell them that he would destroy them all.
But Moses fell on his knees and began to plead.
“Don’t do this Lord, else what will the other nations say? That you brought your people out of captivity and killed them in the desert? Haba nau! You sef think am.”
Then the Lord answered.
“I will forgive them, but I promise you, as surely as my presence fills the earth, none of these people will live to enter that land. They have seen the numerous miracles which I did, but have tried my patience over and over again. So all of you except those below the ages of 20 will die in this desert and not step foot into the land I promised.”
And no one in Israel at the time, except Aaron and Caleb entered the promised land.
Sometimes e go hard and sometimes e go easy, but you too dey complain, Oga calm down.
Be mindful.
