Green Boots

Green boots   Everyone wants to make history, everyone wants to be remembered. For the love of adventure, humans have dared to outdo themselves. Doing the unthinkable like scaling heights in the freezing in the cold, travelling to extreme places in the planet, and so many more. I'm pretty sure that we've all heard about Mount Everest at some point in our lives. It is the world's highest mountain above sea level with an elevation of 8,849.86; located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas.  Temperatures at the peak drop as low as -37 Degrees Fahrenheit during winter, and average about -2 Fahrenheit to 0 Degrees Fahrenheit in the summer. An estimated number of 6,338 people have made it to the top. That is a whole. The first recorded human to stand at the peak of Everest was Edmund Hillary on May 29, 1953. Before him, hundreds of thousands have tried to get to the peak, but have failed due to exhaustion and the merciless freezing cold. Over 200 dead bodies lay al...

The right way to wash your hands.

You might have mistook rinsing your hands for washing in the past. Washing your hands isn't only about wetting your hands after they get dirty or after visiting a bathroom. It should always go with soap. Another tip; splashing soap on your hands is not doing anything, instead it serves as drink for the microbes on the palm of your hands. It is the sustained scrubbing action and foaming that cleanses off microbes.  Scrub the soap on your palm for a few seconds, and rinse off with clean running water. That way, washing the palm becomes effective. We shouldn't wait for an endemic before observing this health tip. 91% Isopropyl works like magic, too. A topic for another day.

Nothing Lasts Forever: Life Lessons from the Lion’s Pride

Nothing Lasts Forever: Lessons from the Lion on Power, Aging, and Vulnerability Abuja, Nigeria — In a stark reminder of life’s impermanence, experts say that power, strength, and beauty are fleeting—just like the life of the savannah’s greatest predator, the lion. At the height of its life, the lion dominates its territory. It hunts skillfully, devours its prey, and commands respect from other animals. The scraps it leaves behind sustain scavengers like hyenas, underscoring its temporary reign. However, as age sets in, even the strongest lions lose their strength. Unable to hunt or defend themselves, older lions become vulnerable to predators. Hyenas, opportunistic and relentless, eventually claim what the lion can no longer protect. This harsh reality serves as a natural reminder of the fragility of life. “Life is short. Power is ephemeral. Physical beauty is temporary,” says wildlife observer and social commentator, Dr. Ifeanyi Onuigbo. “I have seen it in lions, and I have seen it in...
