FG admits purchasing N1.4 billion vehicles for Niger Republic The Muhammadu Buhari administration on Wednesday confirmed that it has purchased vehicles worth N1.4 billion to help neighbouring Niger Republic tackle insecurity. POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Zainab Ahmed, the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, gave the confirmation, explaining that providing intervention to the country is not new.  According to her, President Buhari has the right to make his own assessment of situations and act on his prerogative.           Bro adcaster Rufai Oseni fined N70,000 over using BRT Bus Lane Rufai Oseni, a popular TV broadcaster, has been fined #70,000 for a traffic infraction in Lagos. On Tuesday, the Lagos State police command's spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, provided an update. Prior to that , Oseni was trending on social media after claiming that a police officer pointed a gun at him for driving in a designated bus lane. Hundeyin stated in his update, "Earlier today, Mr Rufai Oseni appeared in court. He was found guilty of violating the Lagos State Transport Law (2018). He was later fined seventy thousand naira only. He made the payment, and his vehicle was returned to him."
