Adamawa Police Arrest Herbalists For Rapping A Minor

62-year-old herbalist arrested for allegedly raping minor   The Adamawa State Police Command on Saturday, July 23, apprehended a 62 years old man for allegedly raping a 14 years old minor in Zagun village, Numan local government area. The suspect identified as  Godwin Sanda, a resident of Zagun village, allegedly took undue advantage of the victim's status kept in his custody as a herberlist for treatment.  Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said the incident was reported to the Divisional Police  Headquarters, Numan by the victim's mother Maryam Abubakar. Preliminary Investigation reveals, that the victim was suffering from mental disorder and was rushed to the suspect for possible medication by her mother. Naira weakened against the U.S. dollar On Friday

​ Naira weakened against the U.S. dollar at the official market on Friday, after the currency appreciated in the last two consecutive business days at the spot market. The local unit which opened trading at N427.00 closed at N430.00 to a dollar on Friday, data posted on the  FMDQ website  where forex is officially traded showed. This implies a N4.00 or 0.94 per cent devaluation from N426.00 it exchanged in the previous market session on Thursday. The naira reached an intraday high of N406.90 and anchored to a low of N444.00 before closing at N430.00 per $1 on Friday, the last business day of the week. This is the weakest rate the currency traded at the Nafex window this week. However, the weakest rate the naira has exchanged this year was the N430.33 mark it closed on Friday last week.
