Dubai — Amazon Web Services (AWS) has confirmed a significant service disruption in the United Arab Emirates after one of its data center facilities was struck by what the company described as unidentified “objects.” The incident, which occurred over the weekend, led to a fire at the facility and forced an emergency shutdown of power, including backup systems.
