Over 30 pastors join Muslims to celebrate annual Maulud in Kaduna. In an exemplary display of religious tolerance, brotherliness and peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims in Kaduna State, over 30 pastors have attended the annual celebration of Muslims’ annual Maulud (birthday of Prophet Muhammad) for this year. The Christian clergymen were led by Pastor Yohana Buru, General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, to the celebration. Speaking at the venue of the occasion, held at Ahmadu Bello stadium, Kaduna on Saturday, Buru said Maulud celebration provided the golden opportunity for Christians to meet, interact ,dialogue, discuss and exchange goodwill messages with their Muslims brothers in order to foster peace and unity in the country. Five persons found dead in their room in Enugu community It was indeed a black Saturday at Amutenyi,  Obollo-Afor community in Udenu Local Government area of Enugu state as five persons including a wife died mysteriously early morning today. An eye witness, Mr. Hillary Mama told our reporter in telephone chat that the incident has thrown the entire community in mourning mood. According to Mr. Mama, " it was early morning today when the husband of the deceased Rev. Adolphus Odo came back from where he passed a night and discovered that their doors were still locked  and his wife, two children and two relatives of the wife were no where to be found. He looked for them around the neighborhood but they were no where to be found. After looking around, they decided to break the doors only to discover that the five persons were still inside the room but were stone dead." President Buhari presents N20.51trn 2023 budget proposal to NASS President Muhammadu Buhari presented the proposed N20.51 trillion budget for the 2023 financial year to a joint session of the National Assembly today October 7. The N20.51 trillion budget which was presented by the president is the last he will present before his tenure elapses. BREAKING NEWS: APPELLATE COURT GRANTS CONDITIONAL LEAVE TO ASUU TO APPEAL NIC ORDER  The court of appeal has granted the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, conditional leave to appeal the ruling of the National Industrial Court of 21st September ordering lecturers to end the strike and go back to the classroom  Justice Hamma Barka who lead the three-man panel granted leave on the condition that ASUU must obey the order of the interlocutory injunction by the lower court immediately. Justice Biobele Georgewill a member of the panel also ordered that the leave granted can only stand if ASUU obeys the interlocutory order of the lower court. Justice Georgewill also states that in a situation where the orders of the lower court aren't obeyed, the court will withdraw the leave granted ASUU to appeal the interlocutory injunction orders by the NIC. ASUU has been given 7 days to file its appeal and immediately obey the orders of the lower court.
