9-day groom market where women go to buy bachelors

9-day groom market where women go to buy bachelors A market where bachelors gather in wait for women to buy and make them their husbands has sparked reactions online. Educational qualifications and family background determine how a man is priced, and women, accompanied by their families, storm the market to browse through the men before deciding which one suits their specifications. The groom market, located in Madhubani district, India’s Bihar state, is called Saurath Mela or Sabhagachhi. Men reportedly gather under pipal trees in the local market for nine days for spinsters to make their selections. The annual tradition, which is reported to have been ongoing for over 700 years, was allegedly started by Raja Hari Singh of the Karnat dynasty to help women find the right husband from various backgrounds. It is reported that engineers, doctors, and government employees are the most sought after, and they impose heavy dowries on the families of any woman who wants to buy them, although p...

When you find true love, may it also come with financial comfort and stability.

™️ When you find true love, may it also come with financial comfort and stability. May you never have a child who would be counted as a number amongst the many hardened criminals burnt alive via jungle justice. Instead of having a son who when announced, apprehended and publicly killed as an armed robber would bring you shame and disgrace, may all your children be daughters. And if it is a daughter that would smear your name in ridicule and drag your heart to smithereens with shame and regret, then may your children be boys. If your own car will cut short your life and have you die untimely, then may you continue to take public buses. If getting married would hastily end your life because your spouse became jealous and insecure and hence decided to stab or poison you, then may marriage never be attractive to you. May your child not end your life, if by chance it is predestined that they would kill you by their own hands, then may you remain childless. Stories abound of those who travel...

If You Have a SIM Card, PLEASE READ!, Very Important

If You Have a SIM Card, PLEASE READ!, Very Important  I wanted to get a new SIM to complement the one I already have. Then I decided to patronise a road side sim vendor and the unexpected happened.  During registration, I gave out the needed details to the vendor and the registration was going on smoothly until it got to capturing. Usually, you are expected to be captured once but the vendor captured me twice and that made me suspicious. So I queried him but he gave a flimsy excuse. Immediately after the registration, I got a welcome text message indicating I registered two numbers instead of one and I asked why two numbers registered in my name instead of one, the vendor said "it's normal, that sometimes the issue is from the network operators”.  The next day, I went to Glo office to lay a complain and the moment I mentioned what brought me, the manager there said "these guys again? Why doing these to innocent people"?, that was when I realized the gravity of what ...

MY DAUGHTER WILL NOT MARRY A POOR MAN

MY DAUGHTER WILL NOT MARRY A POOR MAN Bill Gates explains why his daughter cannot marry a poor man. Couple of years ago I attended a conference in the US on Investment and Finance. One of the speakers was Bill Gates and in the Q&A phase, I asked a question that had everyone laughing. If he, one of the richest men in the world, could accept his daughter marrying a poor or modest man? Bill replied: First of all, understand that being rich doesn't mean having a bank account with a lot of money. Wealth is first the ability to create wealth. Example: Someone who wins money from a lottery or playing a game. Even winning 100 million is not a rich man, he is a poor man with a lot of money. This is why 90% of lottery millionaires are poor again after 5 years. You also have rich people who have no money. Example: most entrepreneurs. They are already on the path to wealth, even if they don't have money, because they are developing their financial intelligence and that is wealth. What...
