Niger ien bandit terrorizing Nigeria, Maliki Shrige, fighters killed in NAF raid Nigeria Air Force (NAF) jets have bombed the hideouts of Nigerien bandit leader, Maliki Shrige and his fighters. The gang members were eliminated at the South Jaja community in Zurmi local government area of Zamfara State. Shrige led a group that severely attacked border areas and villagers in Zamfara and Katsina in the Northwest. The terrorist kingpin migrated to South Jaja and established new enclaves earlier in the year. The relocation followed the annihilation of terrorists in a NAF operation on February 17 at Doumborou forest in Zamfara. Shimfida locals had revealed that invasions of their domain increased since the presence of Shrige and his men.     Court Convicts Baba Ijesha to 16-years imprisonment. Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James alias Baba ijesha has been sentenced to16 years imprisonment after he was found guilty of indecent treatment and sexual assault of a minor which occurred between 2013-2014. Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Lagos state sexual offenses court sitting in Ikeja found that the prosecution successfully proved counts 2 and 3, that he indecently placed the then seven year old child on his laps and rubbed his private part her body. He was also found guilty of counts 4 and 5, where he was accused of again indecently touching the same minor and sexually assaulting her seven years later at her home by rubbing her body and sucking her fingers. Nigerians can return home with expired Passports — FG The Federal Government has directed Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to allow Nigerians in diaspora to return to Nigeria with their expired International Passports. The Minister of Interior, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, who gave the directive in Lagos on Wednesday, July 13, said Nigerians in diaspora were free to come back home with expired or non-expired Nigerian passport. He said no Nigerian needed travel certificate to come back home, except children, whose parents were Nigerians, but their identity were yet to be established according to immigration rule. “I am using this medium to instruct all Nigeria Immigration Officers World-Wide to accord Nigerian travelers with expired Passport use such passports to return safely back home henceforth,” he said.
